Getting Ready

At first, our group was assigned to work under the Science and Environment Category which is about the biggest and oldest tree in Bicol found in Bicol National Park. However, at the initial part of our preparation, we found out  that we have a problem with accessibility in Bicol National Park. Thus, the team opted another category, the Environment and Disaster Preparedness Category, unfolding the mystery of an Environment-Friendly and Calamity-Resistant House Construction Technology, the A.R.I.S.E.

Seminar Workshop on Photography and Videography

We remember clearly how excited the team was! August 7,2010, Saturday, was set for us to attend a seminar-workshop on Photography and Videography. It was held in the Audio-Visual Room of Naga City Science High School. It was an honor to see Mr.Ed San Juan, a photographer and an expert in video productions, and moreover also an alumni of our school, was present to share his knowledge to us. He was glad to know that he would be helping us, his fellow Naguenians in the production of our video blog. He taught us many tips on how to capture, captivate pictures and videos that can attract our audience. The educational workshop was a very big help in coming  up with our blog site.

Conceptualizing the Story

As the new topic was given, we were so excited and at the same time delighted to interview one of the renowned Engineers in Bicol. We went to the office Aman Engineering, not far from our school. There, we saw his achievements and awards. The model houses are also can be seen there. Engr. Zarah Azurin welcomed us warmly and oriented us  about our topic. We were impressed on how big the technology can help the environment. After a while, Engineer Aman offered us a ride as he toured us around the site were different ARISE model houses are built.
Our first destination was the Aman engineering motor pool, with Engr.Canabe  as our tour guide. We saw different amazing machines used in making materials for house construction.  During the interview, Engineer Aman shared his playful childhood experience. Then, he also told us that he was working part-time job when he was in high school. Where he learned a lot of things, that a person can use in the future such as being determined. He wanted to tell that everything is possible when you have determination, as the saying goes "Kung may tiyaga, may nilaga"

After the meaningful interview, we had a lively brainstorming where everyone shared their ideas. We decided to showcase A.R.I.S.E Technology in a very organized manner as supported by picture and videos.

Our technical group, made it possible where they captured the fun journey to achieve our video blog. They edited all the videos, and add some music to make it more attractive and educational to our viewers.
