ARISE at the Heart of Bicol is the official entry of NAGA CITY SCIENCE HIGH SCHOOL in the Doon Po Sa Amin: “Ano ang Kwento Mo?”contest under ENVIRONMENT AND DISASTER PREPAREDNESS category. It is a contest where teacher-student teams are engaged to create video blogs to feature a distinct characteristic, place, or culture in their communities. Bicol: A Typhoon Prone Region
Bicol Region is one of the most frequently hit regions by strong typhoons and heavy rains resulting to enormous damages of properties; especially houses and buildings. Repairs and construction costs are stagering; however, with the use of A.R.I.S.E (Aman Engineering , Reliable Innovation for Stronger Economical, and Environmental friendly) Technology, an innovative house construction method which aside from being 10 times stronger than the conventional construction of houses, it also saves cutting of trees and uses scaffolding instead. A.R.I.S.E. uses steel forms which can be used over and over again, saving a lot of trees, making it very environmentally friendly.

A.R.I.S.E. Technology was conceptualized, designed and introduced by Engineer Emeterio ‘’Boy’’ L. Aman along with other engineers and architects from Aman Engineering Office and Enjoy Realty and Development Corporation . He addressed the need to build stronger but economical and calamity-resistant homes. He now holds the patent to the A.R.I.S.E. Technology under Patent no.4-2009-0992.
Engr. Aman started engaging into Planning & Design, Structural Design, Estimates, Project Management & Supervision, and Finishing Sub-Contractor in 1983. Aman Engineering Office (AEO) was formalized and registered with DTI and ventured into various privately funded projects on fair competition, quality workmanship, and efficient performance.
Getting to know the State-of-the-Art House Construction Technology
A.R.I.S.E is a modern technology of house construction using steel forms from foundation to walls and roofs. The finished product is 100% poured concrete (buhos) making it calamity resistant. Hollow blocks are no longer used in this construction process. The house using A.R.I.S.E. Technology is Monolithic and all vertical parts are weight bearing. Savings are derived from shorter construction time and eliminating the plastering of walls as the steel forms already give a smooth-finish-ready to paint walls.
Using the A.R.I.S.E. TECHNOLOGY we can save 20 to 30 percent less compared to the conventional method commonly used today. This is possible due to reduced cost of materials and labor use in making wooden forms for beams, columns and slabs.

The Man Behind A.R.I.S.E.
Engineeer Emeterio Aman was born on August 10, 1960. He studied elementary in the Naga Central School, and attended high school in Mt. Carmel High School in Polilio, Quezon province. He then went to college in the University of Nueva Caceres, with a degree of BS Civil Engineering. He worked as a draftsman in his college years. After passing the board exam he worked as a civil engineer Practitioner/ Partner at FINCON, Inc. at New Manila, Quezon City.
But, he decided to come back to Naga City and involved himself in Planning and Design works,Structural Design,Estimates,Project Management and Supervision until he ended as Finishing Sub-Contractor.
He married Marilyn San Pascual a registered nurse who helped him run the company as the corporate Secretary/Treasurer and Vice president for Finance.They were blessed with a lovely daughter, Elaine Joyce, fondly called as "EJ".

In 1989 Engineer Aman registered the Aman Engineering Office with the initial capitalization of php120,000 and ventured into privately-funded construction projects like residential houses,schools,hospitals,apartments and office buildings. At present, he is the CEO of his own company, elong to the one of the major players in the field of Real Estate Development. In fact, he developed the following subdivisions namely;Parkview Village, Parkview Executive Townhomes and Haciendas de Naga.
Engineer Aman is a great,generous,kind and silent type of person who do things according to his passion, He do lot of exploration and done things beyond the limitation of what he traditionally know. He also look toward his hardships and problems as a great experience that lead him on the way of success.Engineer Aman is a very humble person who remain simple,despite of all the triumph he got on the field of engineering. The innovative thinking and determination of Engr.Aman gathered up recognition and awards. Some of these are 2007 Best Leading Developer in the Bicol Region-Philippines,2007 Best Development Design in the Bicol Region-Philippines, and others.
